My friend received the above Delta Weekly Fare Specials email this morning. Note that one of the (erroneous?) specials is a $69 each-way fare from Oakland to San Francisco. That's a 31 mile trip airport to airport across the Bay Bridge, so perhaps it would actually be cheaper to fly than, say, take a taxi?
Parking wardens working for London's local authorities routinely issue tickets against authority-owned vehicles. When this happens, the authority takes itself to court to argue that it shouldn't have to pay fines to itself. Sometimes, they ask the courts to award themselves legal costs from their own pockets. This according to Barrie Segal, who [...]
"This young woman made the best of a 10 hour stopover during Snowpocalypse '09 by filming herself mugging around the empty Pittsburgh airport." Apparently she is one of the few people who remembers that the fundamental purpose of the universe is to allow you to have fun.
ShadyURL: "Don't just shorten your URL, make it suspicious and frightening." The shady url for ShadyURL is http://5z8.info/--INITIATE-CREDIT-CARD-XFER--_r8a4a_dogfights
This is seriously genius. It can just show you that people don't realize this stuff. I'm patiently waiting for the site that filters on "got totally drunk last night and made a mistake. These huge breasts constantly get me into trouble." (more…)
It happens without warning. You're sitting there, enjoying a beverage at a local saloon, or out on a second date at a romantic restaurant, when all of a sudden a familiar face walks into view. This is not someone you know personally, although you do share an intimate connection. A sense of visual déjà vu washes over you. "She looks familiar," [...]
I think this judge had the right idea... if the members of a class action settlement are expected to be happy with a card that they have to use at the store that screwed them over in the first place, then why not the lawyer? Last year, Los Angeles County Judge Brett Klein was presented with a proposed class-action settlement in which the [...]
Pittsburgh is home to Berger and Green, a law firm specializing in injury cases. Its recent television advertisements are tasteful, white-backgrounded affairs. As you can see here, this was not always the case. Larry Green is angry because you have not received all the money the law allows.
Southern California's Menifee Union school district has banned the Merriam Webster's 10th edition from use in fourth and fifth grade classes, over this salacious definition of "oral sex": "oral stimulation of the genitals." "It's hard to sit and read the dictionary, but we'll be looking to find other things of a graphic nature," district [...]
Here's a funny Craigslist "personals/missed connections" post... "Seriously, you’re not gonna buy me a drink? What’s your problem?" Well sweetheart, let me explain to you in detail my logic regarding this decision that you found so unbelievable: We established during our conversation that we are both broke-ass fine arts students. Why [...]
Looks like the cover of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Tech Support Club Band.
Yep, just like they promised, youtube is now being flooded with adult videos disguised as disney pop-stars and cartoons. Some of the major news media, like BBC, have already reported this. Google was apparently aware of this and has been getting ready to remove videos asap, but I guess nothing can stop the power of the interwebz. Click the [...]
I loved the movie just purely for the IMAX 3D experience, but seriously, "unobtainium?" I mean, come on.
...apropos of bloggers being bullied into parting with their hard drives: check out this nifty doormat, available at Target and Amazon for 18 bucks and some change. Haha, if you're gonna violate my 4th amendment rights, you're gonna have to literally walk on them and photos or video of the mat in front of your door probably wouldn't be a bad [...]
You know what a Snuggie really is? A bathrobe worn backwards.
