DEFCON 16: August 8-10, 2008
at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas
Deviant and I were kicking this idea around a little bit after I’d taken apart my Asus to see its guts.
The eeePC is seeming to be the new ricecar of the laptop world.
Actually getting to see mods and stuff might be an inspiration to some of the defcon attendees who haven’t even considered doing things like that to their computers.
I would be down with helping run a workshop with moding the eeePCs.I just wanted to put the idea out there.
I think this would be an awesome workshop to attend. Click the link below and sign up if you agree!

The Mods workshop / user’s group went over awesomely! Next year I’m planning on running a contest with judges and the whole nine yards…. unless in the next 12 months…. another super crazy fun modable machine comes out…. –Jackalope
