This is pretty cool: The BBC is going to project the real-time UK election results on the sides of Big Ben’s tower, as a skinny bar-chart showing the progress of the three front running parties as individual lines, with the independent parties lumped into a combined bar.
The number of seats won by the three largest Westminster parties will be updated over the course of the night.
The images, illustrating the state of the parties, will be beamed from the moment the first result is declared until about 0530 BST the next morning.
The BBC said it was “delighted” with the initiative.
